Intel Sandy Bridge-E Desktop Future Comes with 8 Core on the Year 2012
Many fans are disappointed when Intel announced that the processor desktop version of Sandy Bridge-E, which includes only six cores, but Intel reportedly now working on a new stepping that allows eight cores in this architecture. According to VR-Zone, the CPU is likely to step in the second quarter of next year.
Intel previously decided not to use all eight cores available on the arch-E Sandy Bridge to the desktop version of this chip as this will increase over the 130W TDP of the CPU time.
However, a series of tweaks and fixes that are available manufacturing has helped the chip maker to enable two extra cores while maintaining current CPU power usage.
